Standing Rock

There are many Indigenous, environmental justice struggles today. Standing Rock's "Dakota Access Pipeline" is the struggle most relevant to the rights of people living in the United States. Essentially, the Standing Rock Sioux (and over 200 additional tribes) are fighting to keep their sacred, ancestral lands protected and pristine. The Standing Rock Sioux happen to be peacefully protesting against a major fossil fuel pipeline, and thus are up against the forces of local, regional, state, and federal government. Here is a collection of articles and recent updates related to this struggle:
