Tracing the Roots of the Tree of Life

Who first came up with the notion of the Tree of Life? The theoretical Andites? The actual Aryans (of India)? Persians? Egyptians? There have been, and continue to be, many efforts to trace the origin of the Tree of Life and understand its many meanings. Judging by modern archaeology, the Tree of Life appears to have first emerged during humanity's earliest civilizations, about 8,000 B.C.
